Role Overview

Idea Nuova is seeking a strategic, hands-on Director of Production to lead and optimize domestic and international production operations across our growing portfolio of home textiles, home décor, and consumer products. This role oversees the full production lifecycle — from purchase order placement through manufacturing, delivery, and payment coordination — ensuring operational efficiency, cost control, and on-time execution. The ideal candidate is an experienced production leader who thrives in a high-volume, high-SKU environment, builds strong global manufacturing partnerships, develops high-performing teams, and leverages technology and automation to improve scalability.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee domestic and international production operations across multiple product categories and manufacturing partners
• Manage the end-to-end purchase order lifecycle, ensuring accurate execution, timely delivery, and alignment with customer requirements
• Develop production strategies that optimize capacity, lead times, costs, and operational efficiency
• Monitor production schedules, order status, and potential risks to ensure on-time delivery to major retail customers
• Partner with Sales, Product Development, Sourcing, Logistics, and Finance to align production with business priorities
• Build and maintain strong relationships with domestic and overseas factories and suppliers
• Monitor vendor performance across quality, cost, lead times, production accuracy, and delivery
• Negotiate production timelines, resolve manufacturing challenges, and proactively address supply chain disruptions
• Establish supplier performance metrics and accountability standards
• Drive continuous improvement and cost optimization across global manufacturing operations
• Identify opportunities to streamline production workflows, reduce manual processes, and improve operational visibility
• Implement standardized procedures, reporting tools, and automation to support business growth
• Develop and monitor production KPIs, dashboards, and performance reporting
• Leverage ERP systems, Excel, and emerging technologies to improve planning, tracking, and decision-making
• Drive scalable processes that support increasing order volumes and SKU complexity
• Lead, mentor, and develop a production team of approximately 5–10 employees
• Establish clear responsibilities, performance expectations, and accountability
• Coach team members to strengthen problem-solving, vendor management, and operational execution
• Foster cross-functional collaboration and a proactive, solutions-oriented culture
• Represent the production department in leadership discussions and serve as a strategic partner to senior management

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive experience in production, manufacturing, supply chain, or operations, including leadership responsibilities
• Proven experience managing domestic and international production operations
• Bilingual English and Chinese preferred
• Experience overseeing high-volume, high-SKU product portfolios
• Strong background in overseas factory management, vendor negotiations, production scheduling, and purchase order execution
• Experience leading and developing teams of 5–10 employees
• Demonstrated success implementing process improvements, automation, and operational efficiencies
• Advanced Excel skills and experience with ERP, production tracking, or supply chain management systems
• Strong analytical, organizational, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to balance strategic planning with hands-on operational execution
• Experience in home textiles, home décor, consumer products, or CPG preferred; transferable industry experience considered
• Experience supporting major retail accounts and understanding retailer compliance requirements is a plus
